Virtual assistant networks, groups, associations, organisations These networks provide you access to a vast membership of virtual assistants. There are members worldwide listed on these networks. Some if not all networks have minimum standards set before they accept a virtual assistant as a member, so you are comfortable in the knowledge that you are looking at a list of properly skilled individuals to choose from. Some networks require minimum work history and skills, which is fair enough, as anybody can set up business as a virtual assistant and provide terrible service, thus dragging the virtual assistant industry perception down. No entry level workers, typists, etc are allowed to join virtual assistant networks. These networks try their hardest to weed out members that are not up to scratch. They rely on feedback from you the client in these instances. You can find a virtual assistant through these networks by either: 1. Finding a specific virtual assistant in their directory and contacting them direct, or 2. Submitting a job request and that request will be broadcast out to the members and members with the appropriate skills will get back to you accordingly, either through the network moderator or directly. (All networks are set up differently so job leads could be disseminated to the members in a different way as I mentioned above). You may wish to seek replies from only a few members, so therefore the network moderator will only provide you with three appropriate members to contact you. This is good in the sense that you will not be inundated with replies. Or you may be country or city specific, so then you will not receive replies from members not in your area.

Take a look at their testimonials to get an idea of their service history. Advertisements A virtual assistant may come directly to you to advertise her services. She may advertise in a myriad of ways through flyer drops, local paper advertising, word of mouth, at networking and business functions, etc. Keep her details as you never know when you may need a virtual assistant in a hurry.
