If I find any sort of free transcription tests online I will post them here. Anything from free medical transcription tests, general transcription tests and typing tests.

Free medical transcription test

Meditec free transcription test is great ranging from individual words through to reports. This is a great free resource available online for those wishing to do medical transcription.

Free general transcription test

Stenospeed is a great site where you can download various audio files to transcribe. Some also have corresponding text for you to check with once you've completed the file. There are even medical reports for those of you doing medical transcription.

You will need realplayer to play back the audio files and if you don't have it you can download it at www.real.com, but do go to the Stenospeed website for instructions and further information.

And also Listen and Write is another great website for practising your transcription on all levels of transcription work. There are lots of audios available for you to practise on.

And finally you can also download a podcast and transcribe that too.

Free typing tests

Typing Web the Oline Typing Tutor has a free typing test on their front page. They also have an online typing tutor program with a free trial.
