Is being a Virtual Assistant a legit way to make money?
by: Virtual Assistant

How do you get hired/apply? I've come across a few sites that want you to pay a fee to advertise yourself and one site offered $1/hr wages.
How do you make money at this, or is it a scam? i found this a good site to apply too www.paeveryday.com is this okay?

How do i get started as a virtual assistant?
by: Sandra, site owner

Rita thanks for your questions on starting up as a virtual assistant. This site aims to answer heaps of your questions. You set yourself up as a small business operator, ask your accountant the best way to set yourself up. I have a huge marketing/advertising section on how to gain clients, which there are a myriad of ways. Also check out the different niches VAs work in.

I personally don't even have a website, except this one that talks about VAs, so don't worry about that, you can still gain clients without a site and can set one up when you can. You don't need to be certified, but do read up on certification, it's a good idea to be certified, but not mandatory.

You don't even need to pay for advertising, there are many ways to find clients, check out my marketing section. Some are free. I also have a start up cost section, so do check that out, it's not a business that costs you a lot to set up, so that's fantastic.

With your extensive background you will do well I'm sure. Please go through all the tabs on the left hand side of my site and each tab gives you access to so much information about setting yourself up as a VA.

Kindest regards, Sandra, site owner
