Virtual Assistant Certification
by: Sandra, site owner

Hi there and thanks for your question about VA certification. As you know certification is not mandatory and a lot of VAs don't have it. I couldn't tell you what the ratio is to those who have certification and those who don't.

It's up to you if you think you need certification. It certainly makes you look more committed as a business owner, I'm sure clients are more assured of your skills too. Certification can boost your morale too knowing that you are capable of being a great VA.

But again it's up to you. Some VAs run very successful businesses without certification, some wait a couple of years before obtaining certification, some want it immediately.

I have a VA Certification page on this site (I'm the site owner) and all places listed there are all reputable places to obtain your certification. They all vary, either pricewise, prerequisites to certification, length of time to obtain certification, or you may choose where you want your certification according to which country you are situated in.

I know I've not helped you out with a straight answer; there is no straight answer I believe.

Kindest regards,
Sandra, site owner
