Virtual assistant career
Ditching the 9-5 city job and starting my virtual assistant career was the best decision I have ever made.
I became a virtual assistant in 2003 and have never looked back since. Gone are the 12 hours away from my then child (now children) and instead I work from home around my children and am there for their school pickups, after school activities, when they're not well, toddler groups, you name it.
Oh and I still have a career around all that believe it or not. My hours are just not your typical nine to five, but rather during toddler naps, after school for an hour or so and a couple of hours in the evenings, a couple of hours on weekends when kids sleeping and late at night again. Here and there and I manage to keep my clients happy and earn what I used to earn in the city in my PA role.
