Virtual assistant networks
Some virtual asssistant networks are free and others are fee based. Some are country specific and some have worldwide memberships. There are lots of reasons for joining virtual assistant collectives as these networks and organisations allow you to have your name and services listed on their network, they give you access to their forums for communication with other virtual assistants and the networks can have job leads coming through in different ways according to different network setups, etc. Not only can jobs come through from businesses, but you can even receive work through other virtual assistants needing assistance with overflow work or they are too busy to take on a new client. You can also make new friends, which is great as being a virtual assistant can be very isolating, and you do really learn so many new things from seasoned VAs. Each network, group, directory or organisation has its own benefits and they all vary, so check them out below in alphabetical order:
Australian Virtual Business Network.....you deserve the best!Fee based membership. Australia's ONLY source of fully pre-qualified virtual businesses. Members undergo a rigorous pre-screening process to ensure they possess the fundamentals of experience, skill and professionalism. A free YahooGroup listserv is provided for learning about virtual assistance or starting a virtual practice, as well as a place for established businesses to share their knowledge and experiences.

Virtual Assistant Directories Alliance of UK Virtual Assistants is a free directory for established VAs to join. You must have appropriate experience and have a quality website to join. Although primarily targeted to UK VAs, there is a section for overseas VAs to join as well. DeskDemon is a website for administrative personnel and if you join (free) you can list your virtual assistant business in their VA directory. Elite Office Support is a worldwide directory of virtual assistants with a current website. There is a free basic memberships and a premium membership for a small fee to further boost your business. NCH Swift Sound typist and transcription services directory. If you use Express Scribe free transcription software and you have a website, you can exchange links with NCH and list your services in the typist directory on their website. VA4U is a free register for virtual assistants worldwide to add their details to. Virtual assistant forums directory which is a VA forum also has a directory for you to list your professional VA site for free. Available to VAs worldwide. Virtual Assistants is a virtual assistant employment agency, a directory for you to list your business on and they are also a job board listing legitimate fresh virtual assistant jobs. So some jobs are overseen by them, but other jobs are directly between yourself and the business seeking a virtual assistant. There is a fee to join, either monthly or yearly.
