My Video Spokesmodel

What to look for when building a virtual assistant website....

Well first of all you can have a look at other virtual assistant's sites for inspiration and to see what kind of information their sites contain.

Then leave it at that. Copying someone else's site content and look and feel is a no no. See copyright and your virtual assistant website for further information on this contentious area.

Your site should:

  • be fresh and not cluttered. More white space is better than too many words, bullet points are good.

  • be an easy to read site, I don't understand why people insist on having black backgrounds sometimes. Watch those colours - remember you want to be professional, but not too corporate and boring either. On the other hand not too frilly, you're selling a professional service, not cup cakes.

  • be full of information that you think your visitor might need, ie: rates (although not necessary), services offered (bullet points), examples of projects you have completed, testimonials from satisfied clients maybe, FAQs section, a summary home page. You really don't need too much.

  • importantly have a contact me page, business details, hours of work (if you have strict hours), etc.

  • most importantly be designed for search engine optimisation or no one will ever find your site (refer next paragraph about this area).
  • So now that you realise it's not that much work at all, it's time to think about setting up a site and coming up with a domain name, etc and setting it up right for search engine optimisation. Lots of work? Nope.

Instead of paying thousands of dollars I set up this site with ease through

    SiteBuildIt!

for the smallest amount of money, and that included hosting, domain name, step by step instructions on how to set up the site right for top ranking. Unbelievable. You do not need HTML knowledge to build through SBI!, I had none and never built a site before. Oh and you can be based anywhere in the world.

For so much information on this area please visit your virtual assistant website where I go into extensive detail on this crucial area and marketing of your site.

Oh and out of the 100 million sites worldwide my site ranking is:

SBI! have templates that you can select and utilise, but you may also wish to look at logos that you can create yourself through companies such as these:

Logos can be created at logojeez.com or make your own button

and you can add them to your site.
