Being a work from home mum is easier these days thanks to modern technology. I never even see most of my clients whom I have worked with for years. We communicate via email, phone, receive work electronically and even by fax. I've worked from home around my children since early 2004 and have never looked back since. Being a virtual assistant (a home based independent contractor running their own business) allows me to do the same sort of work that I used to have to commute into the city to do.
